Paris, France
I always wonder why American’s say the French are rude? From where I stand they are smart, sassy, and hospitable when you are trying to understand their culture and language.
My Parisian adventure began in style at SFO, where I had the pleasure of experiencing Air France's renowned business class service. The journey started on a high note in the elegant Air France Lounge, where I savored a perfectly paired glass of wine alongside their exceptional beef burgundy—a delightful preview of the French culinary excellence that awaited me.
Boarding my flight, I was immediately impressed by the spacious business class pod that would serve as my private sanctuary for the transatlantic journey. The thoughtfully designed seat transformed seamlessly from workspace to fully flat bed, promising both productivity and rest during the long haul to the City of Light.
The inflight service exemplified Air France's commitment to French hospitality at 35,000 feet. The cabin crew's attentive yet unobtrusive service created an atmosphere of refined comfort throughout the flight. The carefully curated wine selection showcased France's viticultural heritage, while the multi-course meals elevated airline dining to an art form—each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented.
What could have been merely a means of transportation became an integral part of the travel experience itself. By the time we began our descent into Charles de Gaulle, I felt refreshed and genuinely excited to explore Paris, having already been immersed in French culture from the moment I stepped into that lounge at SFO.
